Over the years, Nil (they/he) has been actively interested in genetics and its application for preventing maladaptive pain and mood disorders. Prior to joining APRI, Nil worked at the Wellcome Sanger Institute, UK, as a software engineer on a genomic data-sharing platform and supporting scientists with their research needs. Before that, Nil was a software engineer at a startup foundry focused on socially beneficial software; a social analytics SaaS company, and a fintech startup. During their exchange semester in Switzerland, Nil co-developed a wind turbine management application for the owner.
