If you’re early in your career, exploring a new path, or haven’t yet had the chance to show what you can do in a paid role, APRI offers an alternative to our standard job application process. Our one-month full-time volunteer trial is designed to give you a meaningful opportunity to learn, grow your skills, and/or transition to a paid role with APRI at the end of the month. It is also an opportunity to learn about affective neuroscience, genetics, and modern practices in animal breeding, even if you do not have expertise in these subjects yet.

What You Can Expect:

• Impactful work: You’ll contribute directly to projects alongside the team.

• Clarity, not guesswork: At the end of the month, we’ll either invite you to continue in a paid role or talk through what we learned together and how it might shape your next steps.

You’ll know exactly what the timeline is and what the experience is leading toward. And for us, keeping the trial focused and time-bound allows us to give you our attention: hands-on mentorship and the kind of quality control that makes real progress and learning possible.
